Cemfloor Cheshire
Many specifiers working on renovation or new build projects in Cheshire have come to understand the benefits of using Cemfloor to produce smooth, level floors.
Clockwork Screed supplies and installs Cemfloor liquid screed to specifiers and contractors on a wide variety of Cheshire based construction and renovation projects across the area. We also work directly for homeowners, installing Cemfloor on all floors of domestic properties.

Cemfloor Liquid floor screed – benefits
There are several benefits of Cemfloor liquid floor screed that make it the first choice for specifiers of Cheshire based build and renovation projects:
Cemfloor is free-flowing and self-levelling which means additional labour is not required to create smooth, level floors. This not only produces high quality results, but is also cost-effective for specifiers and their clients.
When used with underfloor heating, Cemfloor offers exceptional thermal performance which helps to maintain heat levels and generate an even distribution of heat across a room.
Cemfloor self-compacts so doesn’t create voids around underfloor heating pipework.
Costs and drying times are reduced by Cemfloor’s thin application. It can be applied as thinly as 25mm which minimises the volume required to cover a room.
Cemfloor produces fewer CO2 emissions compared to traditional sand and cement screeds, makes it a more environmentally friendly product.
Speedy drying times make Cemfloor the ideal choice for projects on which several subcontractors are working. It withstands light footfall within 24-48 hours, allowing other trades to get onto site without costly delays.
Curing times and drying considerations
A curing membrane can be used with Cemfloor, but it is not necessary. If, however, you choose not to use a curing membrane, severe draughts, direct sunlight or heating in the room should be avoided during the first 48 hours following application.
After 72 hours, good ventilation through open doors and windows will allow free airflow and accelerate drying times. Doors and windows should, however, be closed at night to avoid producing condensation. Windowless rooms may require the use of electric fans or dehumidifiers, although direct heating should be avoided as it may cause curling.

Ideal applications for Cemfloor
Cemfloor can be used as a floating screed over thermal or acoustic insulation. It can also be installed unbonded on a plastic membrane.
Ideal for both domestic and commercial floors, Cemfloor offers versatility to specifiers working on a range of projects. It can be installed in wet rooms because of its waterproof properties, and is ideal for underfloor heating systems due to its exceptional thermal conductivity.
Cemfloor can also be used to repair and level existing floors on renovation projects.
