Polished floor screed explained

What is polished floor screed? Polished floor screed can be explained as a high performance, cementitious liquid layer that has been poured onto flooring to create a smooth finish, ready for a final flooring surface such as vinyl, laminate flooring, tiles or carpet to be applied on top.

Clockwork Screed’s liquid floor screed can be applied quickly without affecting performance. Our teams can cover 1000m² a day, and the liquid floor screed can be dry within 48 hours. These time saving attributes expedite the work of other trades on a construction site where time is usually limited.

Durability and functionality

The Clockwork Screed
liquid floor screed is highly durable and offers versatile functionality with a shrinkage rate of less than 0.05%. This is a much higher performance rate than many other cement-based screeds. Our liquid screed can be applied as large slabs with few expansion joints, creating no dust after curing.

Polished floor screed is ideal for underfloor heating systems. Because the screed is poured and self-compacts it leaves no bubbles or gaps around pipework. It can also be laid as thinly as 25mm which maximises the performance of the heating system and distributes the heat evenly throughout a room.
